Right, so let’s get straight to it — if you’ve played the campaign in Black Ops 7, you’ll know it’s… well, rough. Honestly, calling it bad might even be too kind. The multiplayer’s an improvement, but that’s not saying much when the bar’s basically on the floor. What you get here is a chaotic mix of maps, modes, and the usual zombies content, all stitched together well enough to count as a functioning shooter. There are some clever little touches, sure, but they’re scattered and inconsistent, so nothing ever really sticks. And yeah, there’s this odd sense hanging over the whole thing — feels like half the stuff could’ve been spun out by an algorithm rather than made with care. Makes you wonder how much soul’s actually in it. Still, if you’re jumping in for quick matches and pure chaos, CoD BO7 Bot Lobby might be your go-to.

The big change this year? Weirdly enough, it’s not about flashy guns or huge maps. It’s matchmaking. SBMM, to be exact. For years, players have moaned that Call of Duty’s strict skill-based matchmaking turns every match into a sweaty, try-hard slog, killing those unexpected highs and lows. This time, Treyarch’s done something different — you can pick your poison. Stick with the usual SBMM playlist, or jump into a separate one where it’s hardly used. It’s simple, but huge.

Me, I’m dead average at CoD. Flipping between these two modes showed me just how different the game could feel. Standard SBMM? Games were… fine. Modest wins, occasional great runs, nothing too wild. Felt steady, predictable. On the ‘minimal’ SBMM side? Absolute madness. One round I’d dominate, practically untouchable. Next round I’d get shredded by some hyper-active SMG demons who seemed to know my every move. Wild swings, total unpredictability — it was the kind of chaos that’s both hilarious and humbling. Honestly, more like the old-school CoD days when you never knew what you were walking into.

Switching between those moods — calm consistency or utter mayhem — gave me back control over how I wanted to play. That choice alone makes Black Ops 7’s multiplayer more worth your time than anything else in it. All the extra content feels secondary compared to just having that flexibility. If you’re after the best way to dive into matches that suit your mood, you might want to look at CoD BO7 Bot Lobbies buy .
