At present, the major success of CAR-T cell therapy for the treatment of cancer was related to just one target – the surface receptor CD19. The production of natively folded CD19 protein is an indispensable prerequisite for in vitro and in vivo detection of CAR-T cells, immunological studies or protein engineering.
The master thesis will include general molecular biology techniques, establishment and selection of production cell lines, downstream processing and various biochemical methods. Moreover, performance of natively folded CD19 will be evaluated in vitro with different CAR-T cell assays.
We are looking for a highly ambitious student with an interest in animal cell technology and protein research.
