Despite compliance with current hygiene standards and the use of state-of-the-art concepts for cleaning and disinfection the formation of bacterial biofilms in the food industry is inevitable and is, in many cases, detected too late. One of the biofilm producing bacteria is Microbacterium lacticum. However, there is a lack of information about that biofilm. Therefore, the aim of this master thesis is to characterise this bacterial species and its biofilm.
The master thesis is conducted within the project BioMitate: https://projekte.ffg.at/projekt/4165995
