We have sequenced the transcriptome of wheat. We have sorted through tons of data. We have identified some very interesting genes in there. And we’d like you to show us, whether silencing these genes does have a negative effect on the resistance of wheat against Fusarium graminearum.

The practical work will be carried out in our laboratories/glass houses in Tulln (20 min from Vienna). Basic molecular biology skills (DNA/RNA-prep, molecular cloning, PCR) are advantageous but not mandatory. Start immediately or at your earliest convenience.
